Leicester Futsal was founded in 2011 by Dom Beck (Chairman) and is an all-inclusive club and we have a tremendous culture of supporting our players of all abilities and strive to help them achieve their individual goals through the game of futsal.
The team joined the Leicestershire futsal 5s league early in 2013 which is ran by the county FA and we have been members of the league for the past 6 years, winning the last three league titles. This also helped us achieve another one of our key moments as a club was in January 2015, our charter standard award, which was well received by the club.
Our current head coach, Jack Bryan and assistant coach/ club captain, Matt Clarke have over the past three years managed to build a squad capable of competing in the national league and are both fortunate enough to hold the UEFA B futsal Qualification. They have also set up a football development programme using futsal as the basis and have plans for a Youth set up to encourage children of all ages to participate as well as to help grow the club. Achieving the national league status will also give the children something to aim for when they have finished their development in the youth sides.
There will also be inclusive adult sessions for the community, a development team to help support our national side as well as reviving the women’s team this season as well. Going into the season ahead we will be playing our home games at the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee leisure centre in Leicester which is part of De Montfort University, who we are fortunate to have close ties with, especially their futsal team, the DMU Silverbacks.
