Liverpool Futsal Club

Liverpool Futsal Club originally began as a social Futsal game between workmates around 2004. Founded by Chairman, Ronnie Johnson, this was in preparation for playing in Corporate tournaments in Europe. This eventually led to us entering the FA Futsal Cup for the first time in 2006 and formally becoming Liverpool Futsal Club in 2007. After success in regional leagues, Liverpool Futsal Club progressed to the FA National Futsal League playoffs in 2009, winning a place in the FA National Futsal League after coming out top over Oldham Athletic, York University, Albert Park (Middlesbrough) and East Coast (Scarborough).

10 years later and Liverpool are an established National Futsal League club with three national futsal league teams, the mens first and development squads and a womens team too. We are a community-based, FA Charter Standard Development Club with big ambitions for the future.

After a tough season or two, Liverpool head into the new season with a new head coach building his team. Gaz Elsdon joined us in the Summer from Wigan Futsal Club and comes with an excellent reputation, having worked previously with Ex-England Futsal Manager, Pete Sturgess, at UK Futsal Academy (UKFA).

“I’m very excited for a new challenge” said Gaz. “The chance to bring quality players together from around the North West was too tempting. I want players to enjoy their time at Liverpool and to reach their full potential with the aim of being able to represent England. Those that have worked with me, know how enthusiastic I can be when it comes to Futsal. I will definitely bring the same energy to Liverpool.”

Merseyside’s longest serving NFL club are looking forward to their tenth season in the National Futsal League and wish everyone all the best for the forthcoming season!
